Hiring Male and Female dancers for the touring production "Shall We Dance?". Although ballroom dance is the preferred style, all dancers are encouraged to apply. Selected dancers will have the opportunity to train with professional ballroom dance coaches and tour both nationally and internationally.
The full touring season will run January, 2018 - May, 2018 (Easter Holiday off). Touring sites include: AZ, CA, OR, WA, ID, MT, PA, NY, NV, CANADA.
Typical Work Week:
~ Instruct local celebrity assigned routine (1-2 hours)
~ Technique practice (1.5 hours)
~ Show Rehearsal (1.5 hours)
~ Mini shows, previews, community workshops (TBD)
~ Remainder of day is typically open to other activities, free time, and exercise
~ Dress rehearsal (1.5 hours)
~ Setup for show (3 hours)
~ Performance (1.5 hours)
~ Strike (1.5 hours)
~ 5 month contract
~ Housing, Food and Travel are provided throughout contract
~ Salary ($250 - $300 a week DOE)
Audition Requirements (due by Friday Oct 20, 2017 by 5PM PST):
1. Record four (4) routines or demonstrations of your dancing:
a. Each routine should be approx. 90-seconds long
b. Select two dances from one style below and two dances from a second style
i. American Rhythm (Cha Cha, Rumba, East Coast Swing, Bolero, Mambo)
ii. American Smooth (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz)
iii. International Latin (Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive)
iv. International Standard (Foxtrot, Waltz, Quickstep, Tango, Viennese Waltz)
(If no previous ballroom dance experience: please submit videos demonstrating your level of experience in
ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, contemporary, modern, etc.)
c. Upload your videos to YouTube or Vimeo
i. You may set the privacy of the videos to unlisted if you do not wish to have them public and search-able
ii. Take note of the links to your videos as you will submit them in your on-line audition form

Remember too keep the QUICK ACCESS, LANGUAGE and LOCATION BAR closed, before you preview/publish.
