Although ballroom dance is the featured style of dance in our shows, all styles of dancers are encouraged to apply. Selected dancers will train with professional dance coaches and tour both nationally and internationally. Two available contract lengths: 14 week (January – April) or 20 week (January – May). DOE compensation ranges from $250 – $350 per week. All travel, food and housing expenses are covered as well.

Rehearsal Director

Must have previous ballroom dance experience and have experience working with a performing team. Person selected as the Rehearsal Director will instruct the cast in learning the current show choreography, clean show routines, adjust numbers according to stage size, teach technique classes and manage dancers in their contestant instruction. Also the Rehearsal Director will work directly with the Executive Director and Company Manager to develop the show including costumes, show assignments, contestant pieces, community outreach and more. The tour runs January - May (Easter Holiday off). DOE compensation ranges from $300 - $400 per week. All travel, food and housing expenses are covered as well.

Technical Director

We are looking for a talented technician to help supervise, shape and lead our current touring production. Must have some experience working with lighting and sound. We provide training from an experienced and skilled technician that has worked in the touring industry for many years. Duties would include: supervising set-up and strike, maintaining equipment, operating sound and lights during shows, design and modify lighting as needed. Be a part of an exciting touring production and gain valuable industry experience. The tour runs January - May (Easter Holiday off). DOE compensation ranges from $300 - $400 per week. All travel, food and housing expenses are covered as well.

Audition Requirements for Dancers and Rehearsal Director (due by Friday October 4, 2019 at 5PM PST):

  1. Record four routines or demonstrations of your dancing. Each routine should be approx. 90-seconds long. Choose from the styles listed below. Ideally demonstrate your skill set in both Rhythm or Latin and Standard or Smooth. For non-ballroom dance auditions, demonstrate your versatility through different genres if possible.
    1. American Rhythm (Cha Cha, Rumba, East Coast Swing, Bolero, Mambo)
    2. American Smooth (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz)
    3. International Latin (Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive)
    4. International Standard (Foxtrot, Waltz, Quickstep, Tango, Viennese Waltz)
    5. Non- Ballroom Styles (Ballet, Jazz, Hip-hop, Contemporary, Modern)
  2. Upload your videos to YouTube or Vimeo. You may set the privacy of the videos to unlisted if you do not wish to have them public and search-able.
  3. Take note of the links to your videos as you will submit them as part of your on-line audition form.
